Appointments in Ahlstrom's Corporate Finance Organization

Ahlstrom Corporation, a leading supplier of fiber-based materials and specialty papers, today announces appointments in its Corporate Finance Organization.
 
Jouni Kallio, born 1962,  M. Sc. (Econ.), is appointed Group Treasurer as of November 1, 2009. He joins Ahlstrom from Aventum Fund Management where he worked as Director, Fund Manager. Prior to his previous position Kallio has spent for almost twenty years in various treasury positions at Stora Enso in Helsinki, Brussels and London.
 
Kari Kohonen, born 1955, B. Sc. (Econ.), is appointed Group Controller as of January 1, 2010. Kari Kohonen will relocate back to Finland from the U.S. where he is currently working as Vice President, Internal Audit. Kohonen has been with Ahlstrom since 1980 in various financial positions.
 
Kari Suominen, born 1964, M.Sc. (Eng.), MBA, is appointed Chief Information Officer as of October 5. Kari Suominen joins Ahlstrom from Konecranes, where he has been working since 2002 in various senior management positions, with the last position as Director, Manufacturing Operations. In addition to his previous position at Konecranes, Suominen has a long experience in several positions related to IT.
 
Jouni Kallio, Kari Kohonen and Kari Suominen will be based at Ahlstrom Corporation's Head Office in Helsinki. They all report to the Chief Financial Officer of the Group.
