A-M define novas Áreas de Negócios após rápido crescimento dos últimos anos
A nova organização da Ahlstrom-Munksjö entrou em vigor em 1º de janeiro de 2020. Esta estrutura foi projetada para integrar totalmente a Expera e Caieiras ao restante da empresa, além de acelerar o desenvolvimento da excelência em produtos e desempenho operacional.
Temos uma plataforma de negócios sólidos, operando em mercados com ótimas perspectivas e excelente posicionamento estratégico. Estes negócios estão organizados em cinco grandes áreas de atuação, agrupadas com base em afinidade de aplicações, perfil de ativos e expertise técnico. Acima de tudo, essa nova estrutura possibilitará um melhor atendimento ao mercado através da maior integração entre unidades afins.
As cinco Áreas de Negócios (BA – Business Areas) são: Filtration & Performance Solutions, Advanced Solutions, Industrial Solutions, Food & Technical Solutions, e Decor Solutions. Três destas BA’s contam com unidades produtivas no Brasil em Louveira (Filtration & Performance), Jacareí (Industrial Solutions) e Caieiras (Decor).
Louveira faz parte de uma BA com 15 unidades produtivas que produzem produtos com alta tecnologia para diversas aplicações de filtração, tecidos não-tecidos e revestimentos abrasivos. Assim como em outras unidades nos EUA, Europa e Ásia, a unidade do Brasil é focada no mercado de filtros para o segmento automotivo, aplicação na qual a Ahlstrom-Munksjö é líder global de mercado.
A Área de Negócios Industrial Solutions produz uma ampla gama de produtos e materiais em 9 unidades produtivas frequentemente usados em processos industriais. Isso inclui papéis release liners, papéis revestidos especiais, papéis de isolamento eletrotécnicos, papéis finos e celulose especial. A unidade de Jacareí produz diversos papéis especiais para aplicações industriais, como também produtos que são utilizados em embalagens flexíveis de alimentos, cuja interface e colaboração com a BA Food & Technical Solutions garante o melhor atendimento de mercado com soluções únicas e específicas para as necessidade de nossos clientes.
Por fim, temos a unidade de Caieiras que é uma das cinco unidades produtivas dentro da BA Decor. Nesta unidade temos 2 maquinas de papel dedicadas a produção de papéis decorativos aplicados em móveis, pisos laminados ou painéis de parede. As outras duas máquinas possuem grande afinidade com as aplicações industriais de Jacareí e de papéis para alimentos da BA Food & Technical Solutions. Nestes negócios, o grande desafio da Ahlstrom-Munksjö em 2020 é a substituição dos filmes plásticos em embalagens flexíveis por papéis especiais monocamada com barreiras sustentáveis que garantam a reciclagem e biodegradabilidade da estrutura final.
Temos um modelo operacional baseado na gestão independente, onde cada Área de Negócio é responsável por executar sua própria estratégia, dependendo da região de atuação, para garantir o melhor desempenho. A-M defines new Business Areas after rapid growth in recent years
Ahlstrom-Munksjö's new organization took effect on January 1st, 2020. This structure was designed to fully integrate Expera and Caieiras to the rest of the company, in addition to accelerate the development of product excellence and operational performance.
We have a solid business platform, operating in markets with great prospects and excellent strategic positioning. These businesses are organized into five major areas of activity, categorized based on application affinity, asset profile and technical expertise. Above all, this new structure will enable better service to the market through greater integration between related units.
The five Business Areas (BA) are: Filtration & Performance Solutions, Advanced Solutions, Industrial Solutions, Food & Technical Solutions, and Decor Solutions. Three of these BA's have production units in Brazil in Louveira (Filtration & Performance), Jacareí (Industrial Solutions) and Caieiras (Decor).
Louveira is part of a BA with 15 production units that develop products with high technology for various applications of filters, non-woven fabrics and abrasive coatings. As in other units in the USA, Europe and Asia, the brazilian unit is focused on the filter market for the automotive industry, an application in which Ahlstrom-Munksjö is a global market leader.
The Industrial Solutions Business Area produces in 9 units a wide range of products and materials frequently used in industrial processes. That includes release liners, coated specialty papers, electrotechnical insulation papers, fine papers and specialty pulp. The Jacareí unit produces several specialty papers for industrial applications, as well as products that are used in flexible packaging for food, whose interface and collaboration with BA Food & Technical Solutions guarantees the best service to the market with unique and specific solutions for our customers’ needs.
Finally, we have the Caieiras unit, which is one of the five production units within the BA Decor. In this unit we have 2 paper machines dedicated to the production of decor paper applied to furniture, laminate floors or wall panels. The other two machines have great affinity with the industrial applications of Jacareí and food applications of BA Food & Technical Solutions. In these businesses, Ahlstrom-Munksjö's greatest challenge in 2020 is the replacement of plastic films in flexible packaging with special monolayer paper with sustainable barriers that guarantee the recycling and biodegradability of the final structure.
We have an operational model based on independent management, where each Business Area is responsible for executing its own strategy, depending on the region in which it operates, to ensure the best result. The corporation, in a matrix structure, describes the strategic direction and offers a competitive platform for businesses to achieve the greatest performance.
