AHLSTROM DIVESTS ITS SHAREHOLDING IN AMCOR FLEXIBLES EUROPE A/S FOR EUR 19.5 MILLION

As part of the divestment of flexible packaging company Åkerlund & Rausing to Amcor Flexibles Europe A/S in 2001, Ahlstrom Corporation acquired a minority shareholding in the new entity of 6.8% at that time.

 

This stake has now been sold to Amcor European Holdings for EUR 19.5 million.

 

Bjarne Mitts, CFO, said that Ahlstrom Corporation will use the funds to further reduce its debt.
