Ahlstrom recognizes impairment charges of EUR 17.6 million - outlook for 2015 intact
Ahlstrom has concluded the annual impairment testing for 2015 and as a result will recognize impairment charges of approximately EUR 17.6 million in its 2015 financial accounts.
All cash generating units were tested for impairment based on future financial plans. In Ahlstrom Osnabrück GmBH, part of the Building and Energy business area, there is an impairment need of approximately EUR 8.0 million related to non-current assets.
Ahlstrom will also book an impairment of about EUR 9.6 million related to a production line at the Chirnside plant in the U.K., part of the Food and Medical business area.
The impairment charges do not have an impact on Ahlstrom's outlook for 2015. These items totaling about EUR 17.6 million will be classified as non-recurring items in 2015 financial results.
