Serum Transport Card: a safe, easy-to-use and cost-effective device for plasma recovery
About the webinar
Vaccination is the most practical method for controlling and limiting the spread of infectious diseases and plays an important part in the health management of the poultry flock. Monitoring the vaccination process is thus crucial to ensure the condition of the animals, ensure their well-being and the safety for humans.
Ahlstrom-IDVet Serum Transport Cards are a rapid, non-invasive, easy-to-use and cost-effective device to collect biological samples and achieve high yield and purity of plasma/serum from whole blood.
The strip format for sample collection contributes to reliability of the results and is a sustainable, affordable, and simple alternative technique for the transport of blood, serum, and plasma samples at ambient temperature. Additionally, it is a more ethical alternative, as chicks are not culled to collect blood for testing.
Watch our webinar to learn more about the use of Serum Transport Cards for poultry vaccination monitoring and the excellent correlation between serum samples eluted from dried samples on transport card and liquid serum samples obtained by centrifugation after whole blood collection.
